AASHA is an alliance of organizations and individuals that have come together to fight the issue of sexual harassment and create a society free of it. The name AASHA means “hope”, and it embodies the hope of eliminating sexual harassment from society. Its primary aim is to raise awareness and mobilize policy makers to create laws and policies that will protect women in the workplace and promote a safe and healthy work environment. AASHA believes that sexual harassment is a serious issue that denies women of their fundamental rights, limits their potential, and has a negative effect on social and economic growth.
