Rainbow Elastomeric Bearings consist of vulcanized elastomeric blocks, Plain and reinforced by two or more steel plates. The vulcanized reinforcing layers of high-strength steel plates are fully enclosed in high –grade elastomer to ensure absolute corrosion protection and complete freedom from maintenance. The rubber used is extremely resistant to ageing and weathering influences such as ozone and UV radiation. The steel plates shall be ASTM A36/4 36M or A 570/A 570M, Grade 36 or Grade 40. All steel plates shall be debarred. The internal steel plates shall be less than 1.88mm (0.074 inch) thick. The steel plates separating the elastomeric layers will be completely bonded by vulcanization to the elastomeric layers will be completely bonded by vulcanization to the elastomeric material on all surfaces using special metal to rubber bonding adhesive. All external loads bearing steel plate(s) if present shall be factory vulcanized to the elastomeric bearings during the primary molding process.
Fields of Application:
Rainbow Elastomeric Bearings are used mainly for flyovers, bridges and buildings and can be used at temperatures of between -40°C and +50°C. Brief temperature increases up to +70°C can be withstood without problems. Rainbow Elastomeric Bearings can absorb horizontal movements in every direction and rotational movements around every axis through elastic deformation, thereby allowing forces to be transferred safely from one structural component to another.

The Rainbow MONO BLOC N 65 NOSE JOINT is a water tight continuous membrane system for joints with movements up to 85mm in bridges, parking decks and other vehicle traffic. It uses mechanically fastened elastomeric anchor blocks with molded-in flat and casted mild steel inserts to support heavy duty and high impact loads. The monolithic reinforced elastomeric gland is mechanically locked between the rubber anchor blocks and concrete slab. An epoxy Paste bedding adhesive is applied beneath the gland to enhance the product’s water tightness. The exposed surfaces of the RAINBOW MONO BLOC N 65 JOINT are non-metallic and skid resistant while resisting V deterioration. A tongue-and-groove connection at the end of each block prevents separation and uplift.

Water Stopper:
Rainbow offers Elastomeric CR / EPDM water stopper as well as the PVC type. A water stopper is an element of a concrete structure, used to prevent the passages of fluids (water or any other liquid) when embedded in and running continuously through concrete joints.

PVC Water stoppers withstand expansion or contraction movement at joints and take care of any deflection or displacement arising due to change in temperature, differential settlement of foundation, Geo disturbances causing Seismic forces like earth quake, thus eliminating danger of cracks.
