In 1964, the Company was established as a public company listed on all the Stock Exchanges of Pakistan to build a white sugar plant in the province of Punjab. In 2005, a Fuel Ethanol plant of 100,000 LPD, based on Molecular Sieve technology, was added. Since 1997, an Effluent Treatment Plant utilizing the Canadian ABV Bio-Gas reactor technology has been in place. This has allowed the Company to replace 70% of fuel oil and natural gas with bio-degradable wastewater, creating a renewable source of energy to generate process steam while also meeting its commitment to reduce environmental pollution.
