In February 1948 a trading company was formed to deal coal, charcoal and hard coke, gradually the company diversified and expanded its business into different fields.

In 1970 Paper wax Match under brand name "SHAMA" was introduced, in 1978 the company introduced Safety Wooden Match under brand name of "TANGA" which was a complete success.

Later in 1984 Late Khawaja Aftab Ahmed founded M/S Fazal Sons Match Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. in Lahore Pakistan as his family owned company.
